Shaun.of.the.Dead.2004.720p-1080p-YIFY A regular guy with a regular job, Shaun accumulates a huge number of disillusionments with the world around him and decides to do something about it, at least for himself and his girlfriend Liz, who supports his antisocial campaign through thick and thin even if she doesn't really share the same views as Shaun does. The result is mayhem that's been filmed from every possible angle... and then some! The images of this article are not mine, but they are taken from the DVD version. The video encode is standard for this movie. It's not super sharp, but it's also not bad. If you are familiar with the movie, it's very clear which scenes are shot during daytime and which scenes are shot at night! It has a very good night scene. In "The Golden Years", the dark scene is simply stunning! Overall, I think that people who have watched it in theaters would be satisfied with this video quality. It's not perfect, but it's enough to make you appreciate this movie even more. The audio mixes are also of very good quality. I never cared much about the soundtrack of this movie, but the English version of this one is really good. The use of the original score is definitely one of its strong points. Some may say that it lacks variety, which is true if you're comparing it to the "new" soundtrack that was composed by Danny Elfman for the 2010 remake (see below). But for me, the original score feels like a natural part of this movie and enhances it. And for a movie about zombies, I can also say that the audio works very well with the ambiance of the "zombie apocalypse". The film has two or three different editions. The first one is without subtitles, which would be fine if English was your native language. If not, probably you're going to have a hard time understanding what people are saying. The second edition is with dubbed in English, which is what you will find on most DVD releases nowadays. Personally I prefer to save my money considering that this movie is not exactly known around the world yet. The third edition has both dubbed and subtitled subtitles in several languages for different regions. This is the one I own, so I can tell you it's a great edition. If you are into this kind of movies, then "Shaun of the Dead" is an obvious choice. Aside from English or Spanish dubs, there are Italian, French, German, Russian and Thai subtitles. Unfortunately, no other languages are available at all! So if you're looking for the language you want to watch this movie in your native tongue, it may be a problem. If you can't find subtitles for your native language on YouTube or elsewhere online (like IMDB) this might be worth another try at home videos asking people to subtitle movies. eccc085e13
